Things I need to change before Game Deoms

When we did our game demos my game was ok i guess. There was a few mistakes but thats ok.I guess that is only normal though. There was a couple of spelling mistakes I need to change before next thursday.When you have bad spelling and things that makes your grades look poorly.The said that our game was pretty good.When we where prsenting we looked at the screen alot so the teacher said that we need to show more action act like we know exactly what where talking about.He saaid to make index cards if we need to.

Game Demo

Well today we presented our game demos in Mr.Addair class and we watched mostly all of the other groups game demos.They where very interesting and they gave me an good ideal of what each groups game ideals where it let me imagine what types of games I will be playing.We all learned what we done wrong by being judged by our teachers.Mr.Addair is a really nice teacher and he explained to us how important that the game demos will be before Christmas break.He told us what we should do to make our games better and nicer than what they are now.My Group the rockstars has alot of working on to be ready in june but now the teacher kknow what we are mainly focusing on.Everyone is looking forward to reallly seeing what ealse will be in the game that is not included in the gmae demos.

Sound

When playing raders equations you will have a score boar.This will be what wil be making the sound in our game.This will help the player to know if there conversion is wrong or right.The score board will sound just like a regular score board at a football game.The score board will help the player to know if they are wong or right.My game is going to be really fun if you go to my projects page it will help you to have an ideal of what it is going to be about.

What I have done so far

Well this year I have come along so far.I have did alot of stuff.Flash just comes easy to me because I was intriduced to it last year.It was hard for me to rememebr a few things.Once I looked back on it it was easy.I think flash is a little confusing sometimes.Ther actions get all out of wack at times and aggervate me.My game is coming along good,I am starting on my football scene now we are going to start adding animation next week.Once we get started on this it won't take our game long to move along.My favorite thing about flash would probably be adding sound we havent got to that this year but i can't wait til we do.There are lots of diffucilates when working with flash but you must work around these.This weeek we finished our game demo and it really refelects alot about our game.

Animation

I liked this Video because the way this bird is flying across the sky is similiar to the same way that the football games is going to have footballs going across the screen.When you are watching this bird go across the screen we are hoping to have like ten footballs doing the same thing.Your footballs will need to to fly liek the bird and hit the correct math equation.Atleast this is what where planning on.Thhis video should really give you an ideal of how I am hoping for my game to be.Adding Animation is a really hard part of Globaloria class.It is also one of the very important parts which means you must really listerb andtry your best.

Success in Globaloria

Well it is just now starting out the 2nd nine weeks so our games should be coming along good. We are suppost to be to adding animation by now we should so that means that we should have like our players moving on our football field well it is sad to say but havn't gottan that far yet this is my worst struggle these actions scripts on animatin are really diffucilt for me.The adding buttons cousre had been a breeze to me it is really easy and fun for me.I really enjoy this class and i think the more you take it the better you get.It was so hard last year I was completaly confused i didn't know a think but the layer ,actions ,and labels seem to be very easy to me this year it is so fun.The thing that wll probably be the hardest for me this year is animatin it so confusing but I will probably adventully get the hang of it. I have come along way I'm right on task no further above nor later behind.I have got prolly1/4 of my game done this year .I'm on addding animation right now.

Blogging about buttons

Well this week I have been working on adding buttons in Flash.My game is coming along great.We have added quite alot of buttons to the game.I looked on my blogroll but i didn't see any blogs that would help me so i googled blogs about adding buttons and it gave me alot of tips on how to work buttons.There was a turtoil about adding animated buttons and it tell you step by step on how to do this .Our game has a few functionally buttons but by the time I am done ther will be tons of them.There are lots of resources out there that can help students to figure out things so here os one that really help me.I hope to find more helpful stuff in the Knowledge Community .

I have been working on my game and I have got really far i think on this.We have got our loading title help and about scenes accomplised.I have been working really hard.When creating flash games it is just like doing a powerpoint or anything ealse but when you work in flash they are just teaching you how to use action scripts and things like that.I played the game what would you do and it is just telling you facts in game mode.It is really kinda like my game my game will be like a book beginning middle end.The begging there will be a loading and title .The middle will teach you how to convert factions to decimals .The end will tell you if you won or lost.This game is more funthan anything but when using flash it is just teaching but on tecnology ways.

Learning New Things

Well now that I have been doing my paperprototype we have learned that my game was more quiz type which is not allowed.So we had to change it so now you have to take the football and hit the right equation.I was letting Mr.Lester read over my game ideal and he was like this has to be changed quiz games isn't allowed.Well I have been looking at 8th grade cso's and now that I have learned i know what types of problems is expected of me.This is a really interenting game once you learn more about it.I know that this stuff is my level and is correct because I have talk to my 8th grade math teachers and have reseched stuff.There is differnt grade levels when it comes to decimals and fractions theres super easy one and super hard ones.This game is going to be in between.

Raders Equations

This paperprototye has really helped me to get better ideals about my game.Before I started I had a totally different ideal.Now that I have stated on this my game ideals are really great I know exactly how I want it to be.I want my game to be about football.We have came up with some really great idels and our title so matches its called Raders Equations.Raders is the football team we have chosen to do.I really hope my game works out.The way that I have planned.When I started planning this game I planned for it to be like a quiz but now that i know it can't be quiz type.I have a really great game our game now the player will have to take the football and hot the right equation that it converts into.Well this is all for now but now that I have did this paperprototype with my partner I have had alot of idels.

What my games about??

Well my game has to be on 8th grade math level so we picked fractions ,precents and deciamls.So I am hopmg for my game to be about football and i want it to deal with the new high school River View.I love there colors purple black and silver.So the way I am going to sit my game up is I am going to have a fraction lets say its 1/2 the player will have three anwers to choose from .There going to have to take that answer and turn it in ro a fraction decimal or precent it just depends what they are given to chhose from.This game is going to teach them how to turn fractions into decimal if they don't know and prects into fractions.It will have a help scene which will guide you through this game .I amhoping to have at least 10 math equations in this game where you must turn the, into fractions,deciamls ,and precents.This game is going to be fun and really lerning to because i know how it is learning its so boaring so where going to brin the boaring out of work.I think the thing thats will be most exicating for me will be the part where i make it to where you can play football.

Games

Yes I do play games on my free time everynow and then.It is very seldem though because I'm nit that good with games.Well my favorite game would probaly be bloxters on cool math .I play that when I finish my work.This game is not really a flash game.This game doesnt realte to math at all but its really fun.I am going to try and make my game relates to math and is fun.Becasue boaring games no one likes playing.My favorite thing would probaly be playing adventure game.So my game is going to be really fun .

Algebra

Well I'm Heather Vance and my partner is Roger Bowlen.I have to do my game on 8th grade mathmatics and I have chosen to do it on algebra i think.This is what we do in 8th grade and i have started getting used to it this year.I think by making this game on algebra that it will be really learniing and fun at the same time.I am hoping to have my game dealing with the new school and football team and stuff.I have been lokking at some games from the past years that stundets have made dealing with mathmatics.They have really helped me with idels and things like this .I really like the game Addition man i think its really interesting.

Adventure

Well I played the game what would you do and it was a Adventure game.This game was pretty fun to play like you get to pick a chracter then you get to name your charcaters.It also has alot of text that you have to read when you're choosing your answers.There picture explains what there talking about and helps you to get a better ideal oh what your talking about.When i make a game i would like to make i like this beacuse the way it is set up is reallu neat like it takes you to other links that yu can evern learn more.There is tons of learning invovled in these types of games and thats what we want to do is help people to learn .So when i decided to make my game it is gonna be an anventure grene,me and my partner is going to have to alot of work and use alot of imation to get this game to work put the way where hoping.

8th grade globaloria

Well my name is Heather Vance and this is my second year in Globaloria.So there for I know some about flash ,action scripts and things like that.I really hope to learn more about those buttons cause that seems to be the hardest to me its like I don't catch on very well.I really don't know why but its like it doesnt rgister right to me.I know that I am going to be making a math game on 8th grade level but i really don't know what kind.I think I want it to have a game based on the new high school river view but i really don't know that was just a thought.I am so exicated to start worjing on this game figureing out what it is gonna be about.I am really scard that i won't know what to do this year ,because there is a new teacher and this is all new to him he knows very little but i think he will learn with us.

Finishing Up

As you can tell school's almost out ,which means our game presations are almost due.We have three more days ,gosh I am so nervous.Well it has been hard here latley getting everything orginized and strait but, i have accomplised it.I have really enjoyed this class I have to say and I have accomplised alot more than I ever thought I could.I never thought that with just codes and actoin scripts a person could make a game come so far.This year has been great in here and I am totally ready to do this game.I have learned and reconized alot of action scripts.When I first got in the class I thought that it would be just any other class but this class is a class that you are suppost to challange yourselves and see how much you can get done.Teachers depend upon us to show them our best and nothing less.I have to say Mrs.Barker has been great with this class,if it wasnt for her I wouldnt know how to do half of what i know how to do now.To tell you the truth I can't wait to present this game and see what Mrs.Barker and everyone thiks about it.This Globaloria class I have learnt more than ever.I hope to learn nuch more next year in Mr.Lester class.This has been challanging but it has been fun to.

Realize

Well as you know game presations are here almost we only have one or two days to get what we need to get done.Well my game is almost done I musr say I do't like alot.The oly thing that I like is the score board and my partner cassie is suppost do be working on that.Well I had planed on having a player really shooting a basketball insted of draging the all to the goal.But once I had got everything ealse finished I had no time left.Well how I decidedwhat to code and how to scrap.I took my game and I sit down and thought it through and I realized that there was only enough time to get what I actually must have funicionally and working.So what I did was I knew what I had to have and what I didnt have to have and thats what I scraped and coded.I think that what I have is fully funicional and thats all that the game can have as of right now.If I had the time I would take the draging the basketball and turn it in to a baketball player shooting a basketball.But there is hardly anytime left for that so I must keep it the way it is .So for now I must keep it this way because I have no more time left to add this and expecially with the basketball shooting because it takes alot of action and alot of tutiols to learn how to do this.So mabe next year I can get better at this Flash and add this to my game next year.

Commented Blogs

Mrs.Barker I commented two of the students in EGMS high and there names Nick and Matt.They are partners.While I was reading through there blogs it says that Flash is very hard for them.They also said they where putting a score board on there game which is the hardest thing they've did this year.While reading through these blogs I read that they said researching is very helpful to them.They learned to explore all optios.They said that Flash hates them and is very had to work with.I understand this to.They said that there game coming along great and most of the hard work with flash is over sience they got score keeping working.Well thats all I know for now and I am hoping to learn more about there game.I cant wait to play there game .I think they are gonna have a great game to play and there gonna have fun while playing it.

hardest in Function

The hardest thing to teach in the Function concept is the "THREE BRANCHES OF GOVERMENT".My game is mostly about the Judical Branch and I think that civics is the hardest thing to do when it comes to making these games.This game moslty focuses on the Judical Branch and I think that all these admenments ,bills and rights are so hard to understand.There is so much details that go along with them.The law has so much to it if you get anything wrong it could mess you up Big Time.When you are working with civics there is so much reserch cause you never know whats right or wrong.My game teaches this concept when playing baketball you have court cases in my game and those court cases focues on these things.I just think that the Curts are to hard to understnad.My game will teach you about the rights and what they mostly consist of.

Resources

Here in Globaloria class we have did alot of researching.I have searched alot of websites and reead alot.I think that it is better to use three of four differts sources like don't just go read on one website and expect that to be the only website that there is to go to .There is also people you can talk to and dicuss what you need help with.You could also read books.When I am researching and getting imformation I always use other sources.I don't just use one sorurce.I like to have alot of imformation.I don't always use what i find first and be done with it.When you are reserching it is am impotant thing in school and teachers want to see what you found and where you looked so thats what helps you when you use different resources the teachers get to give you more credit.When I am working in gloaloria class sometimes if i don't undeerstand something abou civics I will ask my social studies teach. I also sometimes watch videos on civics so i j=understand more.So all i would suggest to other students is use all there resources before writing an anser.How would you know if it was right if you didn't go through some websites.You can't know if it's true if you don't use differt resoures.And odds are if the same thing is on a few websites then it will be right.I normally use wikipedia because wiki ansers doesn't get checked before being posted to see if it is right.I trust wikipeida.Belive what site that gets checked before deing posted

Aother Game on Functions

Today I will tell you about another game in the functions frame work.Theis game is called the three branches and there team is the cheese wizirds.This game was created by Jeremy and Andrew they go to GEHS.I have plyed there game and it looks like to me that it is like a questions so far and it asks you questions that you anser about the bill of right for instane here is one I read.Which bill is it that you can change the driving age to 19.Here are your options public bill,private bill orregular bill.The anser would be public bill if you get the anser right you get to move on to another question.I have watched there paperprototype on viddler and I have also played ther game demo.It showed on the paperprotype that you will pick a character eather fred or bill.I saw that on the game demo.Which I think was very neat.It also shows on the demo that eather fred or bill will get to drive a car and the player will watch for the opticals.I did not see that on there demo.I think that they have alot accomplished and they have did alot that they said they were going to do on there paperprototype all i see that I think that would be really neat is driving the car and watching out for the opticals.I think that is what makes the game very interresting.I see that they have made anything expect for what they said they were going to do on there paperprototype.I think thats ggod because thay have something to go by and dont keep on changing there minds.Well the only thing that I suggest is that they get a car on there and get it up and moving like they said.But I really think there game will be fun and interresting I cant wait to play it.

Another Game

Today I am going to tell you about another game that is in the function part of frame work which is the same as ours.The game I am going to be telling you about is called The American Choice.The Teams name is Super Squirrel Alpha Beta.The people who are creating this game names are Nick and Matthew they attend school at Greenbrier East High School.Now I am going to tell you why I think that this game is going to fit in the function part of framework.In this game you will lead your own election by fixing out opinions of the political parties.You will also learn the entire process in the election in general.So what this game is going to do is tell and teach you how to vote you will have facts and things like that to guide you through it.This game is going to tell you how to vote what you and how old you have to be to vote.How many days and time you have until the election.So this is mainly a game that will teach you how the election works how to vote and things like that.I think this game will be very intresting once its done.There game demo is very good it gives you a great ideal of how there game is going to be.

My game

Well my name is Heather and my partner name is Cassy.Well my game is going along good but its just keep getting harder I think.It's like we keep on adding more things.The more we add the longer its going to take so the other day Mrs.Barker made us sit down with our partners and do a game pitch.A game pitch is where you put exactly what you want and no more narrow your game down.Me and Cassy put excatly what we wanted which was the Supreme basketball game.Well in our game you will be play the game this is how you will play.You will have court cases and those court cases will be a little somethimg like this one.Cassy goes to school with her favorite rap singer t-shirt on.She knows Mr.Campbell doesn't allow these t-shits.So when she gets there he asks her tpo change she rufuses so he calls her mom and has a conferenace her mom still thinks hes wrong and shes right so she takes him to court.Thats how the court case will go.Ok then after the player reads the case they will be walking to the basketball court from the out side.So as they are walking on to the court there will be facts that pop up about the amenments to that they can decieded who side they want to be on.Mrcampbell or Cassy there will be no right or wrong anser.You will learn from the facts about the first admenment which includes the freedom of speech and freedom of expression.The facts is what you will learn aout becase you cant have a right or wrong anser.This is how my game fits in the functio part because it deal with the first admenment.

I am in the group called the Tigers and my Games name is Supreme baketball.My name is Heather Vance and my partners is Cassie Mcpeak.We go to Sandy River our game is in function part of framework.In this blog I will be telling you the different duties of the presidential cabinet are.First I am going to be talking about the Secretary of State.The security of state is duties of this office depend on the constitution and laws of the particular state,but they often include responsibility for overseeing elections within the states.On January 21, 2009, Hillary Rodham Clinton was sworn in as the 67th Secretary of State of the United States.Now I am going to tell you about the Secretary of the Treasury.The secretary of treasury incluedes security and defense,finance ministers,law enforcement agencies,and the secret service.Next I am going to tell you about the Secretary of Defence.The Sectetary of Defense is armed services and military matters mainly.This position roughly corresponds to Minister of defense in other countries.The role of the Secretary of Defense is to be the principal defense policy advisor to the President and is responsible for the formulation of general defense policy related to all matters of direct and primary concern to the DoD, and for the execution of approved policy.Finally I am going to be telling you about Attorney General.The Attorney General is common law jurisdictions, the attorney general, or attorney-general, is the main legal advisor to the government, and in some jurisdictions he or she may in addition have executive responsibility for law enforcement or responsibility for public prosecutions.Each position is appointed by the president. Which in the U.S. the one who would appoint these positions would be Barack Obama.

Game presentations

Well around two weeks ago my team presented our game presentation.I think it went very well and I got alot of advice from David and Rachial .They really helped me relize what I needed to improve on my game.A while ago when David and Rachial game here to Sandy River they told me that there was an actul basketball court in the Supreme Court.So that helped me out with my game becasue I needed some more resoures to help me.Well the suggestions that they told me I plan on adding to my game and chaning some things in my game.They told me that I should use real life cases with my game that students and there schools have went to court about.So I plan on doing that.They also said insted of just having a basketball player I should have the judge be the one to be playing.I also plan on doing this.Well our games have to be done in a little while as you can tell.In May is the big day for everyone.So this helps me relize that I have alot to do before that gets here.These things that I have listed above I plan on getting done before the big day.Well yeah I planned on doing on doing a little more like having five or six cases but I narrowed in down becasu that is alot to do in the time I have.I will probally only do two or three now because I have to do all the researching on the real life cases.I am focusing mainly on the first admenment in my game.It deals with the first admenment and freedom of specch which is the two big things that my game consist of.The reserch that I am most focused and plan on doing is the research about the real life cases and reading the first and admenments and making sure i know what I am taking about.Well as you know my game's name is the Branch Game and this doesn't really fit in with a basket ball game so I think we have decided fore our new name to be Supreme Basketball.I chose this name becasue our game is about basketball and there is a basket ball court in the Supreme Court .Well I really think that these game presentations helped me relize how soon the big day is going to be here .So I really appreciate the help and suggestions that they gave me.

Function

Steal or Not to Steal

Well I am going to be telling you about the copy right laws. First of all copy righting is illegal ,you should never do it .If you want to copy right you must have the owners premission or,discussion.You can use it as long as you put it in your own words and don't copy and paste it.As I said before you can use it as long as you reword other peoples work,some people may let you copy and paste there work for educational resons or research for school.You must still ask there premission anyways before copy and pasteing any of there work.You also have public domain which is stuff that you are allow to copy, but you still have to give credit to the person who made it. You can only use a certain amount because it will be copy write if you use to much.Well eateher way it goes copy righting is illegal and no one should do it if some one catches you copy righting you can be fined lots of money for stealing there work.So the right thing to do is ask premission and there will be no problems.If ya copy right I promise there will be consoquiences.So heres some websites check them out Copyright Kids , Cyberbee.

2010 New Years Resolution

In 2010 in Globaloria class my new year's resolution will be.I'm hoping to get two levels finished because I only have one level finished.I'm also hoping to get alot more buttons put on there.The main thing I am hoping is to get the came finished.I can't wait to get the game finished because I want to see if people like it or not.I want to see if it really helps students learn a little about civics.Well the first semester is finally over and I dont have have half of my game finished,I dont even have my game to where you can shoot the ball into the hoop.This year I'm really going to try to get my game to be ecellent.
