Well as you know game demos are over and if i had more time.The only thing I would add would be a bonus level and make it more challenging and hard for the player.What i mean by bonus level is where you have the Decimal man scene or percent ,deciaml scene.This is where the fractions scroll acoss the screen i would like to add like twenty more fractions so that it would be harder to hit the correct one.The fractions should get harder to.
Well this year we have got alot of accomplishments done and i could never have made this game without Roger.He has done alot and if I had to give him a grade I would give him a 100%.He has made the hit test and alot of the action.The footballs and the bonus level is what he has been working on and he has done a great job at working on this.I made all the text ,some of the grapics,and a few buttons.Roger has been the one to get us through this he has worked really hard to get everything working correctly.Our game is alomost finised the entire game has alot of detailed actons in it .It is really challenging.The only thing that we have not got finished is the bonus level.If i had to give myself a grade i would say and 75 or 80%.I did alot to get our game started at the beginning and then i just let Roger do most of the rest because he is a boy and knows alot more about the football part of the game.
My game is almost finished but we have to enter the fractions to the boxes.We are going to have to go online and get fractions that are 8th grade level.These fractions are going to have to be a challange to the player .We already have the hit test working on the four levels so when we get the fractions onto the game we will be finished for good.When we get this game accomplished we need to do some touch ups like spell check and stuff make sure everything is functionally.
Well our final game is finished we are all set for the game demos.You can pick eather Austin or Dustin and and there are two levels.The fractions are on the game and all you have to do is be able to convert them if the player is not sure all you got to do is click on the help button and it will give you an ideal.The game is fully working and if you like football this game will really get your attention I do believe.We got all the hit test done and the fractions added to the other scene this past week.We are ready for our game demos and there is no adjustments that neeed to be done .We uploaded our final game Raiders Equations to the team page so you can go play it if you may want
As you know game deoms are alomost here and we have until next thursday to get these games finished .Our game only needs a few more things which will be score and the fractions added on the running scene.We still need to fix a few correct and incorrect scenes.We already have our hit tests and all working we only have small things we have to change.All we will have to do is revize over or spelling and check it .But score will probably be the most diffeicult thing.This game is alost finished and we don't have much left and the things that are left are really simple.The fractions just have to be on 8th grade level and the score will have a few actions but nothing that bad.
At the beginning of the year my game was alot different then it is now.I have changed my mind alot.My game was alot more advanced but with the time we have left there isn't enough time to do all these things.My game is still 8th grade level it is just a little similer.My game used to be quiz,there was going to be many levels,and it was also planned to be more players than two. My game used to be a question and answer type deal but they said that this was not allowed so we had to make alot of changes start out fresh again.We was going to have a precent and then the player have to type the correct conversion in text box.Now we made it to where there is a fraction on the top and the player has to take the football throw it and hit the correct answer. We was planning for our game to be having 5 levels but there is alot of action to these levels so we made it 3.There are so much action on each play scene there wouldnt be enough time to make it they way we planned. This game was going to have an entire football team on it when i 1st began thinking about my game but when you have to bit map all this it takes time.There was no need to even have that many people on there .The two players that is on this game gives the audience a multiple choice of players so they can know who they want to be. When you begin thinking of your games at the start of they year you don't think first before you write.It is alot harder and alot more time consuming than you think.My game is alot different now but i think it is alot funner than i had planned on it being.It is not quizey at all.
As you know we don't have much more time to work on our games the time is running out.So ,yesterday in class the students in our class got to see how all the other games where coming along.We go to write tw positive facts and one improvement they needed to make.
First,they told us our graphics where good andthey liked the colors.We have the purple black and silver colors such as font and loading scene.Our game represents the big high school that we will be going to next year River View.
Next they said the liked our hit test and they worked well me and my partner Roger have worked to get them to work correctly.You can move Austin and Dustin to the right fraction and then the game will take you to the football field and you will get to make a touchdown.The actions for the hit test are a little confusing most struggle to get them to work and we seem to get through it with the help of others.
Finally,they said we needed to get the knowledge in our game well that is in progress right now of being finished we had to wait until last because the action scripts and things had to be written first for the hit test.But the fractions are being put in the boxes right now and the next time you preview our game you will see the learning part
I know the next few weeks are going to be hard but i know i can work through it and get it done.By spring break which is three weeks away me and my partner a wanting to be finished with our games have the wraaped up that way the week after west test we will be ready to go and show our achievments .
Well as you know the school year is comig to and end soon.Which means globaloria students game demos isn't far off.We have to get it in gear,theres no time to waste.Our game is 3/4 finished we need to add a few more incorrect and correct scenes.Get the fractions going and this game will be about wrapped up.We have only another 9 weeks of school left and its all over it will be time to show our accomplishments that we have made this 2010 and 2011 year.I will use my time from here on out as well as possible.It will be nothing but game.I think this game will be a sucess for me and my partner.We have workrd really hard on this and we will be finishig it very soon.We have struggled some throughout the year but we always had people to helpp us get back on track.From here on out we will be wrapping up raders equations and getting everything ready for the big day!!We don't like alot so we should be fine with our time we have left.
Raiders Equations Team: Rock stars Group Members: Roger Bolen & Heather Vance Lets’ get started this week I would have to say we have met a lot of goals and you will find out about them. Me and Roger have got all buttons working, both Austin and Dustin scenes functionally and hit test working .This wasn’t all that hard we met our goals and we are sitting more for ourselves. We have struggled and we some home worked to succeed and work together. First, let’s talk about our buttons. We have a lot of buttons in our games as you can tell but last time our game was played there was some that wasn’t working. We turned all these into fully working buttons and added some more .We added some animation buttons which move around the screen. There will soon be fractions put into these and we will have to have a hit test and some more things to make the game run correctly. Next, let’s talk about the Austin and Dustin scenes .We now have our players moving by arrow keys and you can choose which ever player you want and play the game. These players have hit test so you can go to which ever fraction you think if correct and if it is wrong you will get a scene that tells you that you are incorrect. Finally, let’s talk about the hit test. We have used a lot of these in our game and these are probably one of the hardest things to get to work .But we managed to work to together to meet our goals .On both player scenes you will have hit test so that when you hit the correct or incorrect fraction you will know that you are wrong or right. These hit test have a lot of action to them so they are the hardest to get working because if one little thing is off it messes everything up. Well, now I have told you about our game and what goals we have meet. As you can tell our game is going great and coming along well now. We are now meeting new goals and that will be to get the touchdown working and the correct and incorrect scenes so that the game will be getting finished very soon. We don’t have much longer left so now it is time to start rapping things up and getting what we need done. This week we got Football player Austin and Dustin moving around obsticles.The players are able to use the arow keys to move the players on the field.We got all of our buttons working so you can move from scene to scene this is like a little mini game now.So we just have another level or so and we will be there.If you are not for sure how to play this game the help button will really help you out.Converting these fractions are really interresting when you begin to play this game.
This week we got interviewed in Globaloria class and we told Mr.Addair what we was going to get accomplised this week and we told him that we where going to get our players on our football field which are dustin and austin they might even be moving if not this is goin to come along by the start of next week.We are going to add our newest game verison to our team page.
My game is going great so far ,but really slow it seems to be taking forever to progress.Well my games buttons are working really good,scenes are well orginized ,and my graphics are good.My game stilll needs some work i need to get going cause there is not much time left to work.My motion tweening,and animation deffinetly needs some work my footballs got to start moving across the screen soon.Me and Roger have bben working great as a team and i think that when this game is finished it will be really good and challenging for students.My game is totally out of the quiz catologry.
Well mine and Rogers game never was a quiz game to begin with.When we first got started we was beginning to turn in into a quiz game until Mr.Lester got us heaeded in the right direction.He gave us new ideals on how to do it.Our game is not near finished so by looking at it you wouldn't be able to tell if its a quiz game or not but here is a little discription on what it is going to be like.Our game there will be a fraction at the top of the page and the player will have to be able to covert a fraction to a precent or decimal.You will be playing football so they way it will be set up this will take the quiz part away.This game is going good we have some great ideals and you will soon be able to play a functionally game.
When we did our game demos they told us about a few changes we needed to make.I have not did alot of them just yet but I am getting to the adjustments.I have just been working day by day on my game.I'm just adding fractions and some interactive scenes where there wasn't any.Our game is coming along great and I can't wait.I think that this will be a sucessful game.This week I mainly just added some scenes and things like that to my game.
Well the other day we had our game demos.It went well for my group.They said our game was going to be fun.They said they where big fans of football.We got some really good comments on our game.They said we needed to get moving but our ganme would be great once it was finished.They want our 4th quarter player scene to be a little more challenging.Football,is a good game and these people seemed to have thought we have goood ideals in our head.But over all our game was good and they seemed to have thought it was good and a few adjustments need to be changed but thats all.
Well this year I have been working really hard and I've been really busy.I have come to alot of challenging work but probably the biggest one would be action scripts.It's so hard to remember them and when a student doesn't use them for awhile they forget every little detial to them.I come to alot of hard work but I always figure them out some how with the help of others.I am always forgetting my codes.This class is pretty easy over all I think but it can get tough sometimes you just have to get help from other people.The thing I have had a hard time with was the codes.I always have trouble with the codes expecially the ones that have things to do with motion.There are also button action scripts but there pretty easy to remember because we use them so often.If you click on the link below you will get to see what an ation script looks like and how hard it is to remember.
